Labanan Arnis is a modern expression of Classical Arnis. Over the years we have had the good fortune to train with many great martial artists. They all left their mark on our expression. We maintain many of the old methods and drills, but we focus on the applications for modern day defense and survival. The Filipino martial arts have always focused on using what works and not being tightly bound by tradition that they lose that focus. We maintain tradition but realize that we live in the year 2022 and our threats are different than those faced by the people when these systems were developed. We maintain our training in the ways of unarmed, impact and edged weapons, but also include training in modern weapons and firearms. We also realize that we dress differently than those in the indigenous areas. We have access to more practical clothing that better aligns with our culture and threat situations we face. Our goal is to focus on the skills and tactics required to survive in the modern age, while maintaining the fighting mindset and skills of the old warriors. Our lineage comes from a great line through the Presas brothers down through SGM Max Pallen and W. Hock Hochheim. Senior Grand Master Max Pallen created and carries on the Senkotiros style to this day. Grand Master W. Hock Hochheim created and carries on his system Pacific Archipelago Concepts (P.A.C.) across the globe. These men have blazed their own trails and developed their own systems of Arnis. And we fully support and will do our best to represent them and their growth. We utilize our training in the above systems, as well as others to organize and carry on our journey. Labanan means “Battle” or to fight. That is our focus! We do not perform the ritualistic or esoteric practices seen in the more traditional systems. Our focus is to drill and develop our skills for battle. We have nothing against anyone who trains differently than us and ask that they pay us the same respect. We have evolved our training to fit the day and age we live in. We will promote and encourage those who follow us to do the same. The art will continue to grow and evolve with the times.&nbsp;Join us, and train in the fighting art of the future! Labanan!
